Fishery Steffan aims to offer European sport anglers something truly special. The state-of-the-art log cabins provide anglers and nature lovers with a fully equipped accommodation directly by the water.
Our 14-hectare large lake (lagoon) offers carp anglers the opportunity to catch carp up to 35kg or to go hunting for the river's big unknown. Carp anglers can fish in an approximately 15-hectare branch of the river and in the Völkermarkt reservoir itself. Whether you fish from shore or from boat, is totally up to you.
Predator anglers can tackle pike, zander, asp, perch or catfish. We provide specially equipped boats for this purpose. Alternatively, you can hop into our e-car and we'll drive you directly to your favourite fishing spot along the bank. Young and old who prefer exploring the surroundings by bicycle and spinning rod will always find a suitable fishing bike at our bike rental.
Sustainability is very important to us. That is why the whole area is car-free. We provide you with various options to move around within the complex. A free e-shuttle runs several times daily around the entire area. You can also hire a bicycle or an e-scooter from our rent-a-bike at fair prices.
Special emphasis was also placed on the services we offer our sport anglers. Whether you run out of fishing equipment, you need new baits or if you just fancy a cup of coffee and a friendly chat about the current fishing situation, our cosy and well-stocked fishing tackle shop is always open when you need it.
There's no better way of finishing off a successful and tiring fishing day than at our restaurant. Our chef caters for your wellbeing and prepares fresh local specialities on a daily basis. But if your tummy already starts growling during the day and your throat longs for a cool and refreshing drink, our unique delivery service is just a phone call away. We are happy to deliver a selection of hot dishes and cold drinks straight to your swim or to your cabin.
But besides fishing, we also offer you the opportunity to do many other activities. Our in-house natural swimming pool is perfect for a quick dip when it gets too hot. You can also explore all the possibilities of the immediate vicinity and enjoy the beautiful Carinthian nature by cycling, walking, swimming or golfing.
Anyone is welcome to order, even if you are notfishing. The main building has 6 double rooms which were specially designed to accommodate guests who are not fishing. Of course, anyone can book a log cabin and make use of our natural swimming pool.
